Please take a look around to see what I have been working on in the studio and find out more!
I enjoy the challenge of incorporating the interesting, earthy, old, new and re-purposed tiles, glass, plateware and stone I have collected over the years to create one of a kind works of art representing our beautiful coast! Many of my pieces are two dimensional and textured. I enjoy the challenge of taking sturdy tiles and transforming them into art that represents organic materials found in nature.
I have had the pleasure of working with many clients on a wide range of projects and surfaces. I love the challenge of crafting just the right piece.
What do you have in mind?
I have had the unique opportunity of doing complete mosaic
restorations for customers.
If this is a need for you, I can be reached to determine if this is feasible.
I love using unique, repurposed tile, glass and stone materials in my art. It is a passion of mine to be able to see value in the extras or broken tiles (that might otherwise have ended up in landfill) and transform them into something beautiful, taking what is available and turning it into something that couldn't likely have been imagined!
I live a mile from the Pacific Ocean and enjoy the picturesque beauty of the mountains, ocean, waves, rock formations, cliffs & sunsets as well as local wildlife.
I am enamored with the array of colors, textures and reflections here, and love the way sunlight brings it all so much life. Pacific Coast Mosaics was born out of my desire to reproduce and represent what I see around me living on the Pacific Coast.
Beginnings:
As the daughter of an incredibly capable artist, my mother, I took on her love for art at a young age along with her "anything is possible" mindset when it comes to creating.
I began my mosaic journey during my 16 year stint as a parent volunteer at Ocean Shore School. After taking on the challenge of installing a mosaic project that had been created years earlier by previous students and volunteers, I was hooked! As the school's volunteer Art Coordinator, I was motivated to help beautify the school and surrounding area by using sturdy mosaic art to add lasting color to a sometimes foggy part of town. During the yearly “Oceans 411” program (a week dedicated to students learning about many aspects of sea life and it's protection) we eventually began creating colorful, ocean themed mosaics around the school to teach about and bring attention to sea life. After many projects and installations for the school, including a 6’x8’ mosaic school logo, I decided to create some mosaics for my own enjoyment and to test my capabilities.
During the Covid lockdown I ended up taking on a number of commission projects. It has been such a joy and a challenge to create mosaics for my clients to suit their needs and desires.
Pacific Coast Mosaics is my attempt at continuing to create beautiful and lasting art pieces for daily enjoyment!

Some factors to consider: Size, timeline, whether your piece be for indoors or outdoors, how/where might it be hung? We can discuss these factors to determine what will work for your project. We can then determine an estimate!
